Pretty in Pink?
For a day or so, my newsfeed was filled with a woman in pink brandishing a steering lock at a council officer.
She quickly became the subject of condemnation, derision & racism.
Fierce! Yes, she was fierce in that incident .. but so was the judgment levelled against her..
Baser characters were unmasked ..
Some fell over themselves condemning her for the shame she brought on her race.. somehow they see themselves implicated.. perhaps such condemnation would show how they really are better..?
Some who were supposedly moderates or who previously claimed to be humane variously condemned her or exhibited schadenfreude.. it is "so amusing", even suggesting to others to "watch this video on silent mode as then it's even funnier"
And of course the usual racist suspects lost no time pointing out Cina biadap .. even better somehow they know she is one of those DAPigs..
Oh! How polarized we really are.. What have we become?
Yes, she was fierce! & fortunately for her the council officer was calm.
Yet she appeared to be very stressed and frustrated.. inexplicably triggered.. Perhaps this incident may have been the last straw to whatever she has been facing till then? Who knows?
It was rare to find others trying to see the incident from another angle.. for instance, that she needs help with anger management before she explodes further and injures someone.
Anyway, wrong is wrong.. the police is investigating this case under criminal intimidation..
One almost feels pity for her..
