A FEW days ago, the prime minister’s beloved wife Rosmah Mansor requested for more public money from her dearest hubby for her Permata foundation.

She claimed, “You cannot make cookies without forking out for flour”.

While I doubt Rosmah even knows how to bake cookies…err I meant, I doubt she even has the time to bake them (you know how busy our First Lady is), I believe there is more to cookie-baking than the financial capacity to purchase the ingredients.

You see, to bake good cookies, you not only need ingredients of good quality, but most importantly, you also need a good baker. Without one, no matter how good your ingredients are, the cookies could still be a disaster.

“I want you all to know what we are doing is for the best for our children,” said Rosmah, wanting everyone to know that Permata had been doing a fantastic job with the ‘cookie baking’.

As much as I hate to be the party pooper here, I doubt Permata is doing such a great job, thanks to its half-baked chef.

A couple of years ago, I had the privilege to work on a documentary about autistic children. Searching for a main character, my crew and I were brought to a Permata centre for autistic children located in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi.

We spent three days at the Permata Kurnia, and throughout our shooting schedule, I saw many things which concerned me greatly.

While observing the classes, I realised the teachers had very low English proficiency despite being entrusted to conduct English lessons. One time, a teacher even taught her class to pronounce ‘an-cho-vies’ as ‘an-co-vies’!

During a scene at the bathroom, I asked the teacher why one of our characters was not brushing his own teeth, but instead, had the teacher do it for him. Her response that the boy was too short to use the sink, blew me away.

“It’s easier for us to brush his teeth for him. He may take forever,” she claimed.

My producer then suggested we get the boy a small stool – and the 7-year-old boy who had to depend on teachers to brush his teeth all these while, miraculously brushed his own teeth with no fuss what-so-ever!

It was astounding for us to realise that the teachers did not take any proactive measures to train the boy to handle his basic routine such as brushing teeth, taking a shower and wearing clothes, but instead gave us many excuses of his inability to do so. Oddly, in the three days of shooting, we managed to witness him do all of them!

And that’s not all, the facilities were in sad condition too. The toilet was dirty and made me gag, despite us arriving first thing in the morning for the shoot. Black stains around the tiles and sink worsened the appearance. And to top it all, the swimming pool meant for the autistic children was beyond operational for quite some time (at the point of the shoot).

The thing is, if Permata foundation has been awarded with lucrative budget of hundreds of millions since its establishment in 2007, I cannot fathom why the Permata Kurnia centre is so deprived of care.

Having seen what I have seen, I now wonder about other centres under the Permata foundation – are they well managed, or are they too suffering from lack of proper attention?

I don’t know. Who am I anyway to question our beloved first lady’s brainchild based on one encounter, right?

But then again, if “every child is precious” as per Permata’s tagline, perhaps Rosmah owes it to the public to conduct a proper investigation before requesting the government to fork out more financial aid to get more ‘flour’ for her cookie baking.

Anyway, all this talk about cookies is making me hungry. I think I’ll just go bake myself some – but unlike Rosmah, I shall purchase my ingredients with my own money.

Isa's Sandiwara.

From a lawyer in a WhatsApp group, presented as received:

No one should get excited with the arrest of Isa for questioning. This is only a sandiwara to lull the Rakyat into thinking that some actions had been taken.

The due process of law takes time and it requires an AG to decide whether there is enough evidence to prosecute.

Najib had RM2.6b deposited into his bank account yet the AG had the compulsion to tell the world that there is no case against him. He has been absolved of any wrong-doings pertaining to 1MDB.

The purchase of hotels and what-nots in UK was done by Isa's and Najib's son. Prosecuting Isa means prosecuting Najib too.

No one should be shocked to hear later that AG would announce that the case against Isa be dropped due to insufficient evidence. In Malaysia someone who is in power can even get away with murder. Corruption is only a mild case, you can easily go scot-free.

Malaysia BOLEH is in its elements again!

Burqa stunt pulled by Senator in Australian Senate today!

Why was a Monkey put in Charge of the FGV Banana Plantation?

Who puts a monkey in charge of a banana plantation?

This is the monkey :

This is the plantation:

This could have been a funny story about a monkey who had the time of his life managing a banana plantation except for the fact that while the monkey is really a monkey, that plantation is OURS! And the guy putting the monkey in charge of the plantation is this guy : our prime minister aka Rosmah's husband.

Before any of you put your hand up to defend the monkey or the man who appointed the monkey to take charge of the plantation on a "all you can eat" salary...consider this.

Did Najib Razak give Tan Sri Isa a visa to do the salsa on Felda or did Najib Razak gave Tan Sri Isa a visa to do a salsa on Felda because Najib Razak wanted a share of the Samosa that was aslo in Felda together with the Banana? In the end, did Tan Sri Isa took the banana for himself and left the Samosa for Najib a Jib Jib?

The jury is still out on that Banana and Samosa caper but let us consider other considerations.

Was it a matter of Tan Sri Isa abusing the trust that Rosmah's husband had placed in him?

Was it a situation where Rosmah's Husband made a stupid decision to put a politician convicted of money politics to head an FGV worth billions?

Or was it a brilliant move by Rosmah's husband aka prime minister of Malaysia, to have put a monkey in charge of FGV that was worth billions in order to facilitate his own devious intent to rob, scam, steal or do to  FGV whatever it was he wanted to do with FGV?

After all how much banana can the monkey eat? Surely in a plantation full of bananas  there will be enough bananas left over for Najib Razak after Tan Sri Isa has had his fill?

So really it is not a matter of Najib Razak being stupid when he appointed Tan Sri Isa to head FGV. It is not a matter of Tan Sri Isa abusing the trust that Najib had in him to "manage" FGV. It is simply an extension of the "I scratch your back you scratch mine" syndrome that has now become Umno's national anthem.

The same reason we have a monkey in charge of PDRM....a monkey that tweets and does Najib's bidding and gets his rewards in more ways than one....having his daughter selling guns that can possibly kill his own officers being one!

A monkey as the Attorney General ....this monkey knows only to lick Najib where the sun does not shine.

A monkey to "sell" the GST to us while having a another job frying Nasi goreng, another job trying to kiss the hand of a Sultan and yet another job doing stand up comedy!

But I digress.....let us go back to the substance of this posting.

Najib Razak put Tan Sri Isa in FGV for his own purpose : Financial gain : and now that what Najib Razak has done in FGV has turned around to bite him on his fat big behind (which is not hard to do given that his behind is almost as big as Rosmah's....almost because when push comes to shove...Rosmah's behind is huge!)....what comes next?

Putting Tan Sri Isa in the slammer does not come next. Isa will roll with the punches as he did when he was convicted of money politics by Umno....and what Isa has got on Najib Razak was what got him the job of managing the banana plantation in the first place!

Malas aku nak cakap lagi lah....tunggu until after PRU14...then we talk. For now just put this one together with all the stupid, idiotic, self harm things that Najib has been doing since he first entered national politics....and let us cheer him on his merry bodoh sombong ways...tak lama lagi surely dia mampus!

cakap cakap : Koling, Keling, India....

Last week I posted "Dulu koling baling kerusi, now Malays ikut serta.." and a couple of people who read what I wrote took exception to my use of the word "koling" and the following exchange ensued.

"Koling"...seriously? I expected better from you

David Anandarajoo I was shocked to read this as well.

Hussein Abdul Hamid Brother that was a quote from someone that I thought conveyed the essence of what happened...and that guy is from Negri Sembilan...that is how they pronounced Keling over there. Don't get too testy....I am an equal opportunity blogger....I call Malays bodoh, bangang...Chinese are sometimes nang boti nang qui boti I hantam everyone malice intended. Life goes on.

You could have used "India" but you used a derogatory word that you know Indians do not like. And no apology?

Reply14 mins
William Devabalan Instead you're clarifying that you actually meant Keling....bravo

Reply9 mins
Hussein Abdul Hamid William Devabalan Can you go read what I just posted...THAT WAS A QUOTE FROM SOMEONE....and when you quote you quote what is being said - you do not paraphrase. Take that chip from your shoulder and steady sikit lah....I get call many many names .....just water off my back.

Reply8 mins
William Devabalan Not good enough reason. Anyone can say anything and say they are quoting some mysterious person as an excuse. Followed you many years but time to unfollow. No loss to you I'm sure. Good luck man.

Reply4 mins
Hussein Abdul Hamid William Devabalan every guy who unfollows me is a loss to me...but brother in and let live lah. And may I suggest you stay away from being a blogger...we bloggers get called many many unsavoury names and the only consolation is that we give back as good as we get. Thanks for reading what I write during all those years that you "follow" me.

ReplyJust now

May I suggest you go look at this posting of mine about Muslims and ask yourself if it is any worse than me using the word "Koling"....and no Malay/Muslim took exception to what I posted because sometimes the truth does hurt but you roll with the punches. For as long as I have lived I have used "keling" when talking about Indians and it has always, will always and shall always have the same meaning to me....Indians. And I don't bloody care if it is not politically correct to use it in the present times that we now live in. At 70 I am too old to change.

End of story.
